Explore SoFlo, Take 2

Ali, Ali, Ali the explorer!

Vamonos!

So after I showed my mom how I spent one of my last days she ended up calling me an explorer. Which resulted in me thinking of  Dora, the explorer hence the opening (lol I’m lame like that).

Anyway part two of my series (and sadly the last for a while) “Explore SoFlo” includes me going bike riding along Hollywood beach boardwalk, visiting BurgerFi and Ben & Jerry’s. It may just be my very first fun-filled day, and I was so close to canceling on my friend. Everything was last-minute and basically planned by me googling stuff to do in the area. (S/O to Google!)

Stop 1: BurgerFi

After my trip to Mama Mia I knew I wanted to revisit downtown Hollywood, however I couldn’t find any restaurants worth the visit. So then I google searched in the Hallandale area which is closer to me and stumbled upon BurgerFi. To gain a better perspective of the place I instagram and twitter searched it to see honest reviews. (Anybody else do that?) After the Instagram pictures I was definitely sold on it!

The burgers were DELICIOUS, and I think their fries are now my favorite! Along with my food I had a Heineken (it’s been awhile). #BurgersandBeer

Stop 2: Hollywood Beach Boardwalk

As for the beach it was just something to see, and basically take pictures. It also wasn’t far away so that’s a plus.

The bike riding was totally unplanned and just a spur of the moment when we saw you could rent bikes. It was $5 for thirty minutes or free if you’re a member of their bike club. This probably was one of my best decisions yet; I haven’t rode a bike since I was in elementary school, and it was so fun.

Stop 3: Ben & Jerry’s

Ben & Jerry’s was also totally unplanned and much-needed after that bike ride. Confession: I’ve never had Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream before. So I just went with what I was craving, which were BROWNIES! So I had the brownie batter: vanilla  and chocolate ice-cream with fudge brownies and a brownie batter core in a sprinkle covered cone. My cravings were satisfied!

Well folks, there you have it my entire day in a nutshell. Wouldn’t mind doing it all over again. P.S. this wasn’t a date just spending time with a friend before I leave.  (Perfect idea for a date tho!)

Restaurant Rating:
