Hello Guys! I hope everyone is doing well!
This is currently my senior year of college and I’ve finally developed a routine to get me out of bed and to start my day. I’m definitely NOT a morning person, but there’s going to come a time when 8:00 a.m. lectures are the only classes left that you HAVE to take. As a result changes have to be made!

Here’s my college morning routine:
1/ Wake up at 6:00 a.m everyday
First and foremost you need a set time to be up by. Once you start doing this over the period of a few weeks, it almost comes naturally and you can ditch the alarm clock. I chose 6:00 a.m because a I mentioned previously I have 8:00 a.m. classes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; as well as 9:00 a.m classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not that I need two or three hours to get ready for class, but throughout the rest of the routine you’d see why. When I get up I also stretch and drink a bottle of water to really wake my body up.
2/ Express gratitude
When you wake up in the morning it’s always a good thing to give thanks for seeing a next day, not everyone had that opportunity. I also started to read my Bible for a few minutes before getting ready. I’m not the most religious person, however it has been going good, and I’m happy I started.
3/ Make breakfast.
You know as they say “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Even though I’m not really a breakfast person, I’ve had it the last few days and definitely saw a change in my day. Breakfast also includes a cup of tea or a glass of juice along with my vitamins. It doesn’t have to be any big sporadic spread, just something to boost your energy and get you moving. No-one wants to go to school grouchy.
4/ Read morning inspiration quotations/affirmations
Whether topics about school or life in general, you can find a variety of inspiring quotes on Pinterest. Doing this is quite uplifting for me, and I find myself repeating the quote as well as coming up with a way to apply my life around it. I’d share one right now since it basically applies to this post. “One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.”

5/ Pick out my outfit and pack bag
Even though it may be best to do this the night before I have so much time in the morning that it doesn’t bother me. I also usually use different bags depending on my outfit.
6/ Shower and Get ready
Finally! haha I try my best to catch the bus 30 mins before my class or even 20 depending on the class. My getting ready process really doesn’t take long, because I don’t wear Makeup. The most I would use is a eyeliner and mascara.
So basically that’s my routine, and for the past few days it has been working out really well. I’ve noticed that I’ve been considerably happier throughout the day as well as nicer, and just overall upbeat.
