Hey Friends! If you’re following me on socials you would know I went on a cruise earlier this year for a family vacation. This wasn’t just ANY cruise, it was one of Carnival Cruise Line’s NEWEST and LARGEST ship, a megaship if you will, Carnival Celebration. Instead of overwhelming you guys with a lengthy cruise recap I’ll be doing a mini series sharing details on the room, food, port of calls and my overall experience. First up, the stateroom!
There are a variety of staterooms aboard Carnival Celebration, such as suites, balcony, ocean view and more. We opted for an Interior Cabin based on our budget for this vacation. Given it’s a newer ship, the prices for the various rooms (e.g. balcony) are a bit higher than for the older ships. We also wanted to be on one of the higher decks to avoid feeling the motion as much. At the time of booking we were lucky to secure two rooms on Deck 14 Forward (front of the ship).
Here’s the most affordable way to experience Carnival Celebration®, without cutting even a single corner in the comfort department. With an Interior stateroom you’ll get a full private bathroom, your choice of bed size and layout — covered in linens you can feel at home in — all of which make this truly a great spot for curling up after a long day’s fun.

I was impressed with the modern look and feel of the room, it was honestly similar to a hotel just that the space being tinier. However, the outlook on the stateroom is that you only need it for sleeping and should be having fun outside during any other time. My parents also had an interior cabin but the way their room was laid out and I assume the location on the ship, it felt larger than ours.
Overall, the room served its purpose. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were nice and thick, added with the absence of natural light it would be extremely easy to oversleep. Another aspect of the room I liked was the abundance of storage space. There were two closets, draws, shelves and the ottoman. You could also store your suitcases underneath your bed to leave more floor space. A few other things I liked about the space were:
- the A/C was adjustable therefore you can have it as cold or warm as you’d like
- there was appropriate lighting found in different places i.e. at the sides of the bed, on the vanity etc.
- the shower had hot water and the water pressure was good
- the room got cleaned everyday

Let me know if you have any specific questions about the interior cabin aboard Carnival Celebration and I’ll do my best to answer them in the comments. Aiming for a balcony cabin on my next cruise!
