I’m back again with a restaurant review! F.Y.I. I’m like a “foodie” so once in a while I go out to eat at new places. Last week I went out with my Godfather and his son for dinner on Thursday night. They knew I liked Pasta so that definitely played a part in our choice of venue.
An Italian restaurant located in Hollywood, Florida. It’s found in a circle downtown with accompanying restaurants, bars, and next door park. The drive was 15 mins away from home, therefore it was the perfect distance.
Upon entering we were greeted with loud music, I almost thought we were going to the club. The music selections were also Caribbean *not bad* 🙂 This may have been my one negative remark however; vybing to the music was nice, but trying to have a conversation over dinner or even enjoy the meal with so much noise was a downfall.
We were escorted to another area in the building where we were seated and greeted with menus. The customer service was definitely good. Even though I would have rather an alcoholic beverage I settled for Cranberry juice. We all skipped the appetizers and went straight for the main course. They had the baked ziti, while I decided to go with lasagna. Serving sizes were definitely large! I was stuffed, and had leftovers.
There were many other interesting pasta dishes, but they were all meat-less. The Caribbean in me wasn’t going to have a non meat dinner, lol. There was also the option of pizza which I was considering, however it would have taken 30-45 minutes.
Before we were served, they brought us garlic bread and once again my Caribbean side prevailed. I had three garlic bread rolls while everyone else opted out. Yumm.
Overall, I really enjoyed the night out.
